Competition- Always keep track of your competition for keywords and take analysis on what they are doing. See who is linking to them and make your strategy according to that.
Analysis and statistics - Always make analysis of the visitor reports, the unique visitors, the returning visitors and the page loads. This information can be got from certain websites giving track of visitor?s status like Google analytics and Statcounters. Make your strategy to increase the visitors on the basis of the analytics and information provided by it.
Domain history-Search engines look at the domain history according to the ranking algorithm. So the domain should be a stable one. Get a dedicated ip address and keep it stable for longer period of time. The more stable domain is always considered as a trusted site.
